"Radio Skotvoid has been a staple of North Shore and beyond’s underground electronic / chiptune scene for a long time. Running Rhythmus Records, he has produced and released lots of tasty tracks comprised of New Englands most flavorful DJ’s, musicians, MC’s and more. BEACH PARTY is just under an hour and yet can be replayed many times in a single sitting. Opening up this compilation is !@#$% ‘s Daisy, and as expected synthy bleeps and bloops overrun this track making a hyperreal overture of sorts and a great intro. Ironically vulgarity isn’t a theme of !@#$% and the song is crisp, clean and all around a smooth experience.

DJ Puffin brings some tranquil ambience with hinting of Drum n Bass beats on the next song over. I appreciate the effective transitions on each track throughout the tape, despite compiling 12 different artists, it feels that each song are connected and intertwined with delicacy as if it was in unison. Take Bastian Void’s Arc for example, a polarizing, tonal track that could fit in a cyberpunk video game or maybe a psychological thriller. A. Campbell Payne’s Disco Nap is a track that, despite minimal production, I imagine Disco Nap could be in any techno DJ’s list which will get even the shyest audience members dancing "
